Editorial policy

How we create, review, and maintain content on this site.

Independence

21st Century Simple Living is an editorial project, not a commercial brand. We do not accept payment for coverage, affiliate commissions, sponsored posts, or product placements. Recommendations in our resources section reflect genuine usefulness, not commercial relationships.

Original writing

Every guide and article on this site is written originally for 21stcenturysimpleliving.com. We do not scrape, spin, or republish content from other websites. When we discuss ideas from books, research, or established movements in simple living, we describe them in our own words and link to sources where appropriate.

Accuracy

We aim for factual accuracy in all published content. Research references describe general findings without inventing statistics or misrepresenting study conclusions. When we are uncertain about a claim, we either verify it through reputable sources or remove it.

If you identify an error, please contact us via the contact page with the page URL and specific correction. We will review and update promptly.

No fabricated authority

We do not publish fake testimonials, invented expert credentials, unverifiable awards, or misleading organizational claims. Structured data on this site describes only what is visibly true about the website itself.

Affiliation disclaimer

This site is not affiliated with any other company, brand, or website that uses similar language around simple living or minimalism. References to external books, research, or tools do not imply endorsement by their authors unless explicitly stated.

Updates

Content is reviewed periodically and updated when practices, research, or site structure change. Article pages include publication dates where relevant. Major revisions update the modified date in structured data.

Corrections policy

Corrections are made inline on the affected page. Significant factual errors receive a note at the top of the article describing what changed and when. We do not silently alter content without acknowledgment when the correction affects reader understanding.
