About this site
21st Century Simple Living is an independent editorial project — not a company, not a coaching service, and not affiliated with any other brand that uses similar language.
Why this exists
The conversation around simple living often splits into two unhelpful poles: aspirational minimalism that ignores real constraints, or preachy austerity that treats every purchase as a moral failure. Neither matches how most people actually live.
We started this site to fill that gap. The focus is on practical, research-informed guidance for people who want calmer homes, clearer finances, and more deliberate use of technology — without pretending that modern life is optional.
What we publish
Our content falls into three clusters: physical space, consumption and money, and digital habits. Each guide is written to stand alone, but they connect through a shared idea — that simplicity is a practice of alignment, not deprivation.
Articles go deeper on specific questions: how to declutter without regret, how to define "enough," how to reduce notification noise without going offline entirely.
What we are not
- We do not sell products or accept paid endorsements.
- We do not represent a physical business, storefront, or local service.
- We do not copy content from other websites or claim relationships we cannot verify.
- We do not publish fake reviews, invented statistics, or fabricated testimonials.
Editorial standards
Every article is written from scratch for this site. When we reference research or established concepts in voluntary simplicity, we describe them accurately without overstating what studies prove. Read our full editorial policy for details.
